Saturday, February 4, 2012 hike @ 10:00: Wyassup Lake
starting at the Wyassup Lake Boat Launch.  The hike will be a moderate walk taking between 2.5 and 3 hours covering approximately 6 - 7 miles. Hikers are reminded that appropriate footwear will be necessary to accommodate ground conditions (i.e. snowshoes, etc.) and also personal water and snack food.  At the completion, those interested may consider lunch at Mystic Pizza II at the rotary of Rt. 184 and Route 2.  From Main Street in North Stonington Village, proceed up Wyassup Road approximately 3 miles; turn left onto Wyassup Lake Road.  The boat launch is approximately .8 miles on the right.

Saturday, February 25, 2012 hike @ 10:00Pacha ug Trail Griswold CT
Directions: Take 395 N, Take exit 85 for CT-164 toward CT-138, At the traffic light continue straight .4 mi 
Turn right onto CT-138 E/ Voluntown Rd  approx. 4 mi. Meet just beyond the traffic light of, Rte 201 & Rte 138 in Griswold. 
There is a gravel parking lot to your left on Rte 138 for the entrance to “Pachaug Trail”. 
The hike is approx 5 miles and not difficult.

Mike & Marie Joly will lead the hike and invite you back to their home for some homemade soup after the hike.  There will be directions to our house at the hike.

SAT March 10th 11:30 - 2 PM.  Winter Seal Watch cruise in Fishers Island Sound from UCONN Avery Point.  Trip begins with a 20 minute multimedia presentation on seals, after which we board Envirolab and visit popular seal haunts.  Cost is $25.00per person, $22.50 for AAA members.  Reservations are required: 860-445-9007 or 1-800-364-8472 between 9 AM and 4 PM, Monday - Friday.  For additional info on what to bring/wear check out their website:  http://www.oceanology.org/sealwatch.html
